Our Story
By championing the power of dads, the DAD Projects helps turn your baby’s first 1000 days into a lifetime of connection.
About Nicholas Kasovac
Nick Kasovac is a pediatric occupational therapist, endorsed in infant mental health, who has spent over three decades working with babies, fathers, and families. What shaped this work wasn’t just training—it was listening. Again and again, Nick met fathers who deeply wanted to do right by their children, but didn’t know what to ask, who to ask, or where they were allowed to belong. Too often, their curiosity was met with silence, correction, or subtle messages of incompetence—rather than partnership.
The DAD Projects grew from that gap. Nick’s work brings fathers into the center of early parenting—from pregnancy through infancy, toddlerhood, and the preschool years—offering developmentally grounded, relationship-based support that honors fathers as capable, essential parents in their own right. This approach blends science, experience, and deep respect for the father-child relationship—meeting dads where they are, and growing with them as their children grow.

- Practical
- Respectful
- Based on real experience
The DAD Projects combines developmental science with everyday skills, demonstrations, relatable examples, and a warm, grounded teaching style.
Our Mission
The Dad Projects strengthens early father–child bonds from pregnancy through the toddler years by guiding dads in nurturing, responsive, and culturally grounded relationships during the critical early years of their child’s life.
We envision a future where...
- Every father receives the care, respect, and support he needs.
- Dads feel confident and equipped to build strong and secure relationships with their children.
- The strength of those relationships ripples outward, shaping healthier families and communities.
Why This Work Matters
Supporting fathers during the earliest years of a child’s life shapes how dads show up, not just in infancy but throughout a child’s life.
What Dads Are Saying
Comments shared by fathers after completing a DAD Projects class
Dads need instructors like this. We get diminished during the whole process, and Nick creates a space where we’re taken seriously.
This class spoke to everything I was worried about entering fatherhood. It’s the only class that truly focused on the father–child relationship.
Great, science- and experience-based instruction. Very helpful to have a class focused exclusively on fathers.
